How Ellie scaled her group programme without launching

When Ellie first joined Amplify, she already had a group programme. She’d been helping teachers leave the classroom and set up online tuition businesses for over two years.

But even with a small group of clients, ads running, and a webinar funnel in place, something wasn’t clicking.

As Ellie puts it:

“I knew my programme had so much potential, but I was frustrated that I wasn’t hitting the goals I had in mind. It felt like a lot of time and effort on my part for not enough return.”

The struggle: messaging, funnels, and endless sales calls

Ellie had built solid foundations - ads were running, leads were coming in - but her message wasn’t landing.

“I was banging the wrong drum with my messaging. I wasn’t spelling out clearly enough what I helped teachers with or what the end result would be. It came across vague and almost secretive. People had to watch a 45-minute webinar and still didn’t know exactly what I was offering.”

And when people did book a call, it was exhausting:

“I was doing really long sales calls just to explain what I did. I wanted people to show up already knowing what they wanted, not for me to have to convince them.”

She was aiming for consistent £5K months but couldn’t see a clear path to predictable sales.

Stripping it back and repositioning

Inside Amplify, we stripped back all the unnecessary automation and focused on the core fundamentals:

  • Messaging: Ellie repositioned her offer to meet teachers who were already ready to leave teaching or had started tuition but were stuck.

“We moved me along the timeline so I wasn’t talking to teachers two steps before they were ready to buy. That one change made everything easier.”

  • Lead Generation: Simplified her ads and lead magnet to connect emotionally with ready-to-buy teachers.

  • Sales Process: Shortened her calls from 60–90 minutes to just 20 minutes.

The results: consistent growth and freedom

The changes worked fast. By January, everything started to click.

“Literally, January everything started to change, and each month has got better since. The graph just goes up - January, February, March… every month improving. It’s been textbook.”

From enrolling zero clients in January, Ellie enrolled:

  • 5 new clients in February

  • 5 in March

  • 8 in April

  • 5 more in May

She’s already surpassed her income target and now has a scalable, predictable business model.

“It feels easy. It doesn’t have to feel hard. With the right support, you can completely change your business in a couple of months.”

Beyond the numbers:

For Ellie, this wasn’t just about revenue:

“My program really does serve an audience that I feel very connected to and I love helping, love serving. And to be able to reach more people and help more people… is just an amazing feeling.”

Her success also means more freedom for her family:

“…my goal is to continue to scale so that my husband doesn’t have to stay stuck in his job, and I’m already at that point where that could happen now.”
